Steve Burke is a bassist, composer, and educator based out of Brooklyn, NY. While attending high school in Lynn, MA, Steve studied jazz with Alexis Cuadrado (Kurt Rosenwinkel), Bill McHenry, Chris Joye, and Neil Miner (Peter Bernstein).

After high school, Steve attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied bass performance with Fernando Huergo, Bruce Gertz, and others.

Steve has performed as a band lander and a sideman alongside some of Boston’s most popular musicians. He has appeared with Henley Douglas Jr (Boston Horns) and Eric Reardon (Sarah and the Wild Versatile). Steve has built a reputation as a sideman on the Boston music scene playing over 200 shows each year across genres ranging from jazz, funk, and reggae to folk, country, and blues.

Steve relocated to Brooklyn, NY in 2016 where he continues to build his name as a bass player and composer. Steve teaches bass, guitar, and music theory out of his Carroll Gardens studio.
